Electric car battery, range and charging

UK guides to battery capacity, official WLTP range, estimated real-world range and charging. Each version stays separate.

Usable pack size and winter range are not in these specifications, so the guides do not estimate them. A registration check is for one car. The guides below describe catalogue versions.

What the electric car guides show

Battery capacity

The listed catalogue figure for each version. It is not a measured usable capacity.

Official WLTP range

The official combined test figure, kept on the version it belongs to.

Estimated real-world range

The supplier’s estimate where one is listed. It is not a VehicleScore® road test.

Home and rapid charging

Onboard home-charger rating, listed 10–80% charging times, and a rapid-charge limit only when the specification includes one.

Charging cost

A calculator for home charging cost and time. Calculated minutes are estimates. Listed charging times stay as published.

Battery warranty

The new-car catalogue cover. It is not the warranty left on a used car.

How the model pages are built

Open a brand, then a model. The page keeps model years and variants apart: battery capacity, official WLTP range, the supplier’s estimated real-world range, home and rapid charging, and battery warranty.

A rapid-charge limit is shown only when the vehicle specification includes one. Listed charging times that cannot be a 10–80% charge of a passenger car are left out. Charging costs and any minute marked as calculated are VehicleScore® estimates.

Catalogue versions and one used car

These pages describe battery-electric cars by make, model, year and variant. A figure belongs to that version. It is not an average for the model, and it is not the battery in a particular used car.

Official WLTP range is the official combined test figure. Estimated real-world range, where it is listed, is the supplier’s estimate. Vehicle specifications come from UK Vehicle Data.

Enter a registration for that car’s free VehicleScore®. Battery health records are part of the paid EV Check, and only after you buy it.

Electric car guide questions

Battery capacity, official WLTP range, the supplier’s estimated real-world range, home and rapid charging, energy use and battery warranty. Each model year and variant stays on its own row.

No. Estimated real-world range is the supplier’s figure. Official WLTP range is the official combined test figure. VehicleScore® does not measure either of them.

A model can have several versions. The guide does not blend them into one battery capacity or one range.

No. These specifications do not include a winter or cold-weather range, and the guides do not estimate one.

Yes. Enter the registration. The free VehicleScore® comes first. Battery health records and the paid EV report are only created after you buy the check. These guides describe catalogue versions, not the battery in one used car.
